The Ministry of Worship and Music at ALC covers much ground. We are charged to oversee all music for worship services, to train Liturgical Assistants and Readers, to maintain the Altar Guild and to assist the pastor in planning and organizing worship services. But we also work to coordinate musical activities outside of regular worship services, like our Messiah Sing-along and special concerts that take place at ALC. We see daily life as the primary setting for the exercise of our Christian calling, and that includes music and the arts. Through our Choir, Gospel Choir, Liturgical Assistants, and Altar Guild, we work to make the symbols of Christian worship meaningful and lively so that the sacraments and liturgy take hold in our hearts and minds. We seek to weave the various musical threads in our diverse community into a living tapestry of praise and thanksgiving. Volunteer opportunities abound! Come and join us!

ALC Choir

The ALC Choir’s mission is to provide musical leadership and to perform special music during regular and special worship services. We meet at 10:00 on Sunday mornings before Worship for a brief rehearsal, and you are heartily welcome to join us.

ALC Gospel Choir

The ALC Gospel Choir and Band is a group of singers and instrumentalists who rehearse on Saturdays and who perform during Sunday worship services several times throughout the year. With an emphasis on contemporary music, the Gospel Choir welcomes all who feel called to sing or play beautiful modern praise music.
