Born Feb. 2, 1869, Tufte, Fjaerland Sogn, Norway, to Hans and Marie (Ese) Boyum. Immigrated in 1886, to Fillmore Co., Minn. Married Ole C. Paulson, 1888, Peterson, Minn.  Died Feb. 1, 1920 in the flu epidemic.

They had eight sons and one daughter: Peter (b. 1890), Martin (b.1892)
 f Henry (b. 1895), Benjamin (b. 1897), Clarence (b. 1900) , Carl (b. 1902), Alfred (b. 1904) f Elvin (b. 1906), Esther (b. 1910).

A son wrote: "The most outstanding memory of mother is the strong, sincere faith she had in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
